Learning through exploration
Let children experience nature for themselves
PUPILS EXPLORE, OBSERVE AND INVESTIGATE WILDLIFE IN THE SCHOOL GROUNDS THROUGH PRACTICAL, AGE-APPROPRIATE ACTIVITIES.
what happens in a session?
We head outside and see what we can find.
Children learn to look more closely, identify wildlife, explore habitats and record their discoveries.
john takes pictures and videos of nature in action.
What we find helps shape the learning — making every session a little different.
the following session we review what we found.
then head out for another adventure!
a session last between 30 and 40 minutes

A TERM OF DISCOVERY
REGULAR SESSIONS THROUGHOUT THE TERM
Education Goes Wild is designed as a programme of regular sessions, giving children the chance to explore their school grounds, discover what lives there and see how nature changes over time.
Each session builds on what we have already found — exploring, observing, photographing and recording wildlife before heading outside again to discover what has changed.

I've always been fascinated by wildlife and what we can discover when we slow down and look a little closer.
Through Education Goes Wild, I want to share that enthusiasm with children and help them discover the birds, butterflies, insects, plants and other wildlife living right on their doorstep.
My approach is simple:
get outside, explore, observe, ask questions and learn from what we actually find.
